Interesting few days coming up.
On saturday 20th I will be attending the TUC organised march for a future that works in central London which will be marching in protest against current government economic policy (please visit the website). Internet connection willing I will hopefully be able to write about the events and my experiences during the day. If not I will update later.
This will be the first time that I have attended such an event as I have never previously before been involved in Union activities, and am current not involved in any Union. I do however generally support the cause, and I am looking forward to a jaunt around the city as well, particularly as it has been 9 years since I last visited. I have unfortunately noticed that the price of a day travel pass for the tube has doubled in price since my last visit
Also next week at Bristol Crown Court the sentencing hearing in the Winterbourne View care home abuse case will begin on Monday 22nd. This is expected to last for three days, and hopefully I will be able to attend for the majority of the hearings and to report on the outcomes during the day.
Stay tuned!
