Winterbourne View – Sentencing

Bristol Crown Court has confirmed that sentencing for the 11 defendants in the Winterbourne View abuse case of which all 11 have pleaded guilty will begin on Monday 22nd October, and is expected to last for 3 to 5 days.

Footage of the Panorama documentary that raised the issue of abuse in the former care home is expected to be shown during the sentencing hearing.

I probably wont be able to attend as I am likely to be in College on that day, but would imagine that the public gallery is likely to be busy.
